Lets have coffee…

Thank you!! I can now drink my coffee and say it is for my health.. If you read my blog you know I drink coffee every day, I actually put my chocolate protein in my coffee.To do this without the protein turning into slime, put some milk in your cup add your protein stir till the protein is dissolved then add the hot coffee. If you do not mix the protein into a cold or room temperature liquid first you will have lumpy slime.. and do not reheat it in the microwave.  the funny part is as I type this I am drinking hot decaf tea.. LOL!

Can Coffee Cut a Woman’s Stroke Risk?

Swedish study shows even a cup a day reduces the risk; experts say more proof needed

THURSDAY, March 10 (HealthDay News) — Women who have at least one cup of coffee — or even five cups — daily may be reducing their risk of stroke by as much as 25 percent, new Swedish research shows.

And women who don’t drink coffee at all may actually be increasing their risk for stroke, the researchers noted.

However, the researchers added, these findings are preliminary and should not cause any change in coffee-drinking habits.

“Results from our study in women showed that consumption of 1 to 5 cups of coffee per day was associated with a 22 to 25 percent lower risk of stroke, compared with consumption of less than 1 cup a day,” said lead researchers Susanna Larsson, from the National Institute of Environmental Medicine at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm.

“Even small amounts of coffee may reduce the risk of stroke,” she added.

The study is published in the March 10 issue of Stroke

Baby it’s cold outside !

Whew! It’s cold outside!!! I am going to make some chili so I can write down how I make it and post it here. For those of you who don’t know me, I have been cooking forever (duh… how do you think I got so heavy?) I normally don’t use a recipe I just do it! So in order to post something here I actually make it and write it down while I am cooking, sounds strange but it is the only way I can be sure that it is correct… 

SO I am going to have a cup of protein coffee and make some chili…  Just a side note protein coffee is one scoop of chocolate or chocolate caramel GNC 100% Whey protein mixed with milk then add hot coffee. If you don’t add the milk and mix first the protein will get all clumpy and nasty so I highly recommend the milk. If you want extra chocolate add some no sugar added hot chocolate mix, be careful about doing that too often as it will add a ton of calories…  I might be back tonight with the chili recipe, if not it will be here tomorrow…
